Daisy Green - a new fresh women's magazine dedicated to all things ethical is launching today.
I met the 2 lovely women, Nicola and Suzanna, founders of Daisy Green, at the Newcastle Green Gathering. We got talking as you do, as I just loved the idea of their magazine. Their mission is to have a magazine that is not filled with loads of adverts and expensive fashion but to have a magazine that is dedicated to sustainable living. This manifests itself in style - recycling fashion, organic clothing, beauty - sourcing ethical products, living - a green eco way for example. It is all done with out any preaching but instead concentrating on the beauty of it all. This particularly resonates with me, as glamour and green can go hand in hand beautifully. And I'm very excited to say that I will be getting involved with Daisy Green writing about raw food and lifestyle in the living section.
So, onto tonight it is Daisy Green's Launch party and I am so excited to be going. There is going to be a catwalk show with vintage and thrifty fashions, a swap shop where we all take a bag of our clothes to swap for someone elses (I love this idea, I used to do this with a group of friends when the kids were little) and lots of girly chat about how to bring ethics into our life without losing our identity.
I will report back on how it all went.
