What an inspirational day - 100 years of celebrating the achievements of the progressive movement of women into the econmic, politic and social arenas As a woman myself I think this is fab and yet these are areas in this day and age which can be overlooked. For even though there is still struggle around for us women to raise our voices and be counted as equals, on the whole in the Western society, the womens role has become pretty powerful. I for one, do feel I can have, do and be what I desire. That there is nothing, apart from myself, that will hold me back.
When I speak to women younger than me,the ideas of femininism just don't appeal and yet it is because of the women that have paved the way before us with their strong tactics and ideals that have allowed the girls of today much greater freedom.
And I for one, love now how women are stepping into their femininity, that we are not trying to encapsulate the masculine role to get ahead. That we recognise our own strengths and the wonderfulness of being a woman. You see, I adore femininity, I love the fact that the more I have stepped into my feminine energy the more great stuff comes to me and the easier life becomes. I have come to the realisation that claiming femininity and using my feminine energy does not disempower me and in fact the opposite as I work in ways that are congruent to me.
